Oftentimes, clients begin their therapy journey reporting feeling stuck in patterns that cause them distress. Romantic relationships, job stagnation, family dynamics, parent/child interactions, mood instability, substance use, eating concerns are just a few areas that people may experience dissatisfaction. Whether these patterns are a result of known trauma(s), relational wounds, or something else, we can gain clarity about these patterns. It is my honor to support you in getting to know the parts of you that are seeking change, while also getting to know the parts of you who have been working so hard in the same way, often for many years, without the results they need.
I aim to provide a warm and accepting practice where all persons feel valued. You will find both my personal and professional values align with providing affirming care to the global majority, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergent identifying persons/allies.

With over 20 years of clinical experience, I hold extensive training in various therapy modalities (CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic, Narrative, ERP). In my own personal therapy, I was introduced to IFS (Internal Family Systems) in 2019. During my own therapy, I began to have shifts toward authentic healing that no other therapy modality had provided to me.
Because of my personal healing journey experiences, I am now a Certified IFS therapist. I solidly use this experiential model in my work with clients. This non-pathologizing approach, allows us to move beyond the intellectual understanding of your lived experiences by connecting with your nervous systems (mind, body and spirit).
My role as a therapist is to guide you in your journey of rediscovering your Self. You have an inner Self with qualities like curiosity, calm, confidence, connectedness, courage, and compassion. You have always had it, even if you do not feel access to it currently. Our work will bring you into relationship with your Self. Once your system knows that Self is present, healing can begin.

I have had a lifelong curiosity about people, relationships, families, and communities. It is no wonder that I was drawn to being a therapist. From as early as I can recall, I have felt a calling toward bringing more love, connection, healing, and harmony into my little corner of the world and now the world at large. Knowing that I can only bring to others what I have been able to achieve myself, I have done and continue to do my own personal work. I have learned to embrace being “perfectly, imperfect”. Well, to be fully transparent, I should say I am learning. It is a life journey.
When not working, I enjoy the company of my two labradoodles, gardening, crafting, listening to audio books, kayaking, and spending time with family and friends, including my two budding young adult children. Anything chocolate, big belly laughs, and sitting in nature brings me joy. Although I was not raised in Maryland, I have been proud to call the state my home for over 25 years.
